Blanca, suspension lamp, Marset (2003)

Blanca's vitreous body brings out the most mellow, smooth and warm attributes of artificial light. In its glowing entirety, the opal blown glass represents the classical form of a conical lampshade.

After the blow forming process, the weight distribution within the glass is always slightly irregular. Once the lamp is pending, the special suspending mechanism allows to align the shade to the perfect horizontal position.

Though the silicone dome is flexible enough to be introduced into the aperture, it develops its carrying effect laying even and softly against the inner rim.
